Audio -  The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen - March 13, 2009

The League of Extremely Ordinary Gentlemen Vol.2 Issue 4.5 I had so much stuff to work with this week, I couldn't possibly fit it all in. Not only did we go to Staple! and interview lots of the comic writers and artists there, but we had Jason and Beau who were finally paying the price for their terrible decision in The League Arena. The punishment was enacted and horrible and I recorded their pain. I also felt bad so let them talk about some stuff they actually liked afterward to get the bad taste out of their mouths.

My apologies to creators at the fest we interviewed and couldn't fit into this episode. Expect to see more pop up in future .5 episodes of LEOG. In the meantime, here's the fact sheet about who we did talk to: First Interview: “Dreamers” by Matt Houk and Marshall Wilson http://www.matthouk.com/ http://bramarwil.com/ Second Interview: “Hyperbox” and “Tranz” by William Cardini http://www.thegoldcountypapermill.blogspot.com/ Third Interview: John Lucas “Fear Agent” http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=25265 Fourth Interview: Paul Benjamin “Marvel Adventures: Hulk” ,”Boom Studios: Monsters, Inc” “Pantheon High” http://www.thepaulbenjamin.com/ Fifth Interview: Kristin Hogan “Dead Squirrel Girl” http://deadsquirrelgirl.com/ Sixth Interview: Alan Porter “Boom Studios: Cars” Seventh Interview: -Jeff Sebesta “I am the President of Ice Cream”, “Cloudhopper” http://unnecessaryg.com/ http://megatexas.livejournal.com/ -Sam Hurt “Eyebeam” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kK_lIcv7sic http://eyebeam.com/flashcontent/sitetop.html http://samhurt.com/flashcontent/sitetop.html Eighth Interview: David Lamplugh “You Chose Right the First Time”, “That Damn Cat” Ninth Interview: Phil Hughes “Tex-Shield” www.hoppercomics.com

Cyrus at first when I read that I thought you said "What you talking about Erreebus?"

Yes, Drive did deserve more of a chance! It was entertaining, had a good premise, good characters, and some nice action scenes, but...it was on Fox and premiered two episodes instead of one and didn't even finish its first season. While Firefly I can understand it ending where it did- personally, I didn't think Serenity was as good as Firefly- Drive just tanked because of ratings and being on Fox.

I'm guessing it's just my shitty connection at work, as I've even cleared my cache and re-loaded and it keeps stopping at 37:18. I'm betting the full pod cast is showing up on my home PC... LONG LIVE THE LEAGUE!!!

At least one of you guys should play "Planescape Torment" or previously mentioned by one of you "I have no mouth and I must scream" if you're going to talk again about game's being equal to movies and books. And maybe also the second Fallout and Morrowind. Brothers in Arms: Highway to Hell is a shooter with an interesting plot and characters too.

I was in a ballet dance thing for Andy Lau (aging guy in Protege, the film Cyrus watched) at some event when I was 4ish or 5 in Hong Kong. I even have photographic proof! Kinda proud of it but not like I remember any of it. I loved when Phil Hughes said "The comic will make you laugh, will make you cry, and if you have too much chili- make you fart." Cool interviews with the big names (not that I'm too knowledgable to recognize them) and also independent, smaller ones. Staple! sounds like a fun con. And made me want gumbo. MMmmm

Haha, it's odd how there's a strong stigma about the topic of video games when one of the interlude track in this LEOG was from Diablo II. It was from the tombs in second act.

THIS was a BRILLIANT LEOG. Such a wonderful look on the independent comic scene. I hope you guys invite some more comic writers and artists into future LEOGs, it's fascinating stuff.

You seem to be confusing "ducking the question" with "not actually giving a crap".

ninja rap, they can steadily duck those questions because they don't care about manga.

i don't understand how you guys can steadily duck my questions on reading mangas especially since mangas are the soulution to youre problem with comics such as continuity well written mature storys and wait for it a beginning & ending and i like comics just in case people say i dont like them L.E.O.G OUT

And, no. That "Superfly: Man of Steel" is Duval Stowers. I've seen that dude dressing up like that and doing sketches at his artist alley table at Comic Con for the last 20 years.
