Wolf Remington, torture porn doesn't need to involve sex or anything like that...it just means that messed up people or gore lovers enjoy watching people suffer onscreen- it's like 'porn' for those people. Hope that helps

Equilibrium is freaking awesome. Especially when the guy's face gets sliced off. And tickets are 10$ flat here, it BLOWS. Oh, and you guys should review 500 Days of Summer! I keep hearing good things about that one. Maybe the audio just isn't up yet...who knows.

I'M PROBABLY GOING TO AN EARLY SCREENING AT 7:15PM ON THURSDAY FOR G.I. JOE. IF NOT, I'M SEEING IT ON FRIDAY. IT LOOKS LIKE THE FIRST TRANSFORMERS. I WASN'T INTERESTED UNTIL I SAW THE FULL-LENGTH TRAILER AND WHEN I SAW THE FILM, I THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME. I HOPE THE SAME THING HAPPENS WITH G.I. JOE.

I can understand if you call it a torture flim but why torture porn(Have not seen the movie because its not at the movie theater at my town). So unless the collector rape someone(again have seen the movie but want to) wouldn't it just be called a torture flick? just asking

North American ticket prices are full of it. Back home we may get the movies sometimes a few months late, sometimes the exact release date; but "Expensive" tickets at the fancy theaters cost $4 8DD yay us! 'course our theaters aren't half as fancy...

Sorry Carlyle, but Frank Castle would kick the shit out of those MacManus brothers any day of the week. I don't think a falling toilet would help them against the Punisher.

I've noticed a year ago Spill usually been able to get screenings a week before movies are released as oppose to a day or two.

probably the only good thing about that ending is that we at least got a little girl-on-girl action, which is always good. :)

just read the plot summary of 'Haute Tension' on wikipedia, and yeah, that ending was a real pisser, even for someone who was just reading it as opposed to actually watching it. glad i was forewarned.

$9 for a cinema ticket? I'd LOVE to pay only $9... Over here (middle of sweden) it's always at least the equivalent of $13... And that's for any movie... If I want to see something popular and have to pre-book the ticket it's at least $16...

Davril Chorster - several of us have participated in so much written and oral criticism of this movie it's not even funny. We get it, we understand it and we just don't like it. I even wrote an intro of BURN AFTER READING about Coen fans who believe that if you don't like a Coen Bros. film that you must not understand it. And both Cyrus and I have reviewed the 3 Disc set you're talking about. Look it up. It's not that we don't get it. We just don't like it. Our reviews and criticism should be dissected, not simply glanced at...oh WAIT. Where have I heard that before?

9 bucks a ticket! I'd kill for that! Over here in Socal it costs 11 bucks a ticket!

Has anyone read the book yet? I was just curious if there were some noticeable departures from the original source material.

I think you guys have grossly overlooked the ending to "No Country" because it's traditional in story but unconventional in style. It's basically that when you're watching the film you can sense the realism, so the third act is what would, per se, make sense. What happens to Moss, the fact that Chugurh is the personification of evil, and that Sherriff Ed tom Bell had woken form his dream. The title suggests that the character the audience is supposed to follow is the Sherriff, and no one does. Do yourselves a favour and watch the special features on the 3 disc Collector's Edition (or the 2-disc Blu-ray). Listen to the filmmakers and cast explain the ideals in the film and its ending. Most viewers hate the ending because it's horribly missunderstood. This is a film to be dissected and studied, not simply glanced at.

If you can get Garth Ennis to write a script and someone to keep his story intact, I think you have something. Otherwise, it just de-evolves into something we've seen before.

Na I know what you mean Dr Detfink I am just saying even though the Punisher is a 2 dimensional character, My point is why does he have to be. The changed things in Batman's history to give him a more interesting past......Same goes for the new Star Trek ( the fact I hated it does not count ) but they still added something different. Take John Rambo a very simple guy but the pain and history behind the character is what works and you really do understand his pain, Well least in the first film and the last one.
