I posted on one of the threads in the past, I think for the one about the news item for Women in Cages, about being a fan of Rodriguez's, and I went too far perhaps in how I praised him as "doing what he does better than anyone else" or something like that. It comes down to this: Rodriguez is a very talented but *limited* filmmaker. He's proven in his fifteen or so years in the business that he can make action, horror or kids movies, and that's it. For the first two he's usually done them pretty well, if sometimes going with style over substance, while the kids movies are just past my time (even though I admire what he was trying to go for with the first Spy Kids) and I don't have the patience to watch some movie his kid wrote or something. I'll admit that his films did have a slightly special place for me in my formative movie-buff years back last decade as films like Desperado and From Dusk till Dawn were just fun goddamn movies that I could watch with friends and have a good old time (the latter may be his best movie, tied at least with original theatrical Planet Terror). But at the same time, like with Kevin Smith, I don't see him going past at all what he's shown he's capable of. I don't think he could make a straight drama, and I don't think he can make as you guys said a "good" movie. He makes some terrific B-movies, but his auteur range is so narrow that he'll never reach any of his contemporaries with scope and promise (Tarantino also might appear to be narrow, but his homage-o-meter is so fucking long that he could potentially make any movie in any genre imaginable if his lazy ass could get up for it, i.e. Inglorious Bastards). Sorry, had to vent there for a tick. Love your LEOG segments.

the new X-Men cartoon's art style is similar to Spectacular Spiderman because it was probably designed by Sean Galloway, AKA Cheeks: >http://gotcheeks.blogspot.com/ His style's very popular now.

Yay! LEOG is back. - I'm probably the only person on this site who's not that into Iron Man, I mean, it's okay, I'm just not crazy in love with it like everybody else. - If you think about it, a lot of the X-Men are dicks.
