i really liked this film, for me the only thing that wasnt up to scratch was jackie earle haley. robert england was the one and only freddy, it was much better in parts and kept to the original film but i did expect better, i would still say any one who watched the original go see this one just for old time sake,

MATINEE~~~This, in my opinion, was pretty good. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was still entertaining. Jackie Earle Haley made a pretty cool Freddy, and Kyle Gallener did pretty good, but everyone else sucked, especially the girl who played the lead. Did this top the original? NO. But at least they tried something different...

This movie is some old bullshit nothing new was brought to the table I might as well watch the original. The acting was just ok. it wasn't as scary as the first one because I think they tried a little to hard trying to make you jump. The only thing thing that this movie has that was better then the original was the special effects and even some of the FX weren't up to par.

Question about the similarities in the New Nightmare on Elm street Vs. The Old movies? Alright I saw the New Nightmare On Elm street Movie over the weekend and LOVED it! Its strange but I cant seem to remember the old ones at all.. are the stories similar? I am curious because I heard they already have a sequel , I'm wondering if this is a New Freddy story or if its starting all over 2010 Addition.. Maxx Shredder

I have to say I really liked the movie. I know lots of people didn't like it but I did! It wasn't the best movie but it was a good movie. I have always been a fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and really, this one was pretty good. Great, next thing you know I'm gonna have a ton of people freaking out and wondering why the hell I liked this movie. You know why I liked this movie? Cause I have liked nightmare on Elm Street No matter what. Hell, I even liked the entire original series all the way up to New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason

My date and I went to see Nightmare on Elm. All I have to say is wow. Wow, they could have done so much with this film and and they made it fucking boring. Seriously, some point in the movie a fly started buzzing around in front of me. I paid more attention to that fly than the actual movie. I got so bored watching that I switched my attention to the dust flying around the projector. SERIOUSLY! This is 2010! They could have taken this iconic franchise and made it into a masterpiece. Some parts it seemed to boldly play the child molestation but only to pussy out with the pictures. Call me sick but I thought it would make the movie creepier if there was an actual topless picture of the dark-haired girl when she was a kid. Don't get me started about Rooney Mara. She is beyond a doubt the worst actress ever. Really girl? Edward-Scissorhands creepy uncle comes at you at supermarket, cuts you, and your reaction to all that is blase? Just die. I would have crapped my pants and cried out all the water in my body. And another thing blah blah blah blah blahhh. Wtv. Loved Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach. Didn't convince me as Freddy Krueger.

I 100% agree with Korey on this one. Better concept then execution.

I really, really dislike movies like this. It relys so heavily on jump scares that it actually detracts from the horror element. A good horror movie builds up to a scare. This movie has Freddy hitting audiences over the head with them. And what the fuck'd they do to freddy's face? He looks like some kinda anthropomorphic zombie cat man. Waste of $7.50. Fuck this movie.

This is a terrible movie in that it is nothing but a remake of the original 1984 movie. You can not beat Robert Englund who oringanlly played Freddy. This guy looked like a bald lion with a skin condition. The movie is lame in that how do a group of kids not know they know each other or that they were supposed to have been abused by this guy. The movie is lame, the acting is lame and Freddy is lame. Hope the people who invested in this movie are either 'happy' with it or have plenty more money were that came from.

This was retarded! If u wanna see Real horro check out a film called The Children. Starts off slow, but omg I still have chills!!! Freddy in this looked ridiculous, Its really ridiculous all the kids just forgot they knew each other and/or were molested. The lead guy in the film shld have been Kellan Lutz, who played Dean... much more believable, Why come when they confronted the chicks mom and the dudes dad they focused on the school and the molestation, umm how abt, "By the way he's back and f@cking killing us all" I kow its hard to believe but hellloooo everybody is dreaming of this guy and well, dying! Dude died in a maximum security prison in a cell and I doubt his cellmate had a weapon. U kno, plot holes can be covered up with just 1 or 2 saving graces in a movie, unfortunately Kellan Lutz aka Dean was only redeeming quality this movie had! Freddys eyes reminded me of the shark from Finding Nemo when it smelled blood.

yeah this movie was some bullshit ! This shit was boring and plain.Except for the small part at the end. They are so right he looks like a burnt lion or someone with bad plastic surgery. And how they forgot they all went to the same school and then somehow how forget that was some bullshit. I knew this movie would such because micheal bay name is attached to it.

Could you post the audio review soon? Also, I'm probably the only one who doesn't really miss Carlyle. He would give this movie a Full Price, because he tends to have broader sense of what constitutes as a good movie. Which makes him like most of America, in that is taste is terrible.
