I did not care for this movie. It seemed like it might be good, but i was too busy trying to figure out what the hell was going on. The special effects I saw were decent though. Plot- 2 Actors- 7 S.E.- 9 1/2 Overall- 4

My reaction to this movie: MIND. BLOWN. I couldn't get to sleep after seeing it!

I'll give this movie a "Full Price", but I wanna reserve the right to bitch about the length; It was around 30 minutes too long! I could be wrong about where to reduce, but I'm pretty sure the snowy mountain action scenes were a bit "obese". The sad thing is this movie lost out on a couple "better than sex" ratings, and for me its because of the length. (note: Better than sex = 101%. However in reality, although they both deliver a sense "deep enthusiasm", neither truly exists; Except in cases where one has never seen 100%, and/or their sex is frequently a "matinee".) Full Price.

Better Than Sex! Why? This movie somehow manages to incorporate multiple plots into one cohesive narrative. The dream within a dream (and twice more) concept sounds like script purgatory, and yet Chris Nolan once again proves he's one of the best out there by even including a pretty moving love story as well. And those action scenes?! Okay, the moving hallway scene has been hyped up since the teaser came out way back when, but we can all agree it was well worth the hype. Oh well I can't even write as much as I'd like about this film because I just can't find the words to describe the surreal experience (I guess surreal?). Oh and I'd like to think the ending is a glass-half-full situation so there.

Ok, I seriously don't get why people find this movie so confusing. It seemed pretty simple to me. There are three levels to the dream they created in the movie. The dream, the dream within the dream and the dream within the dream within the dream. They have to kick themselves (wake up) from all three dreams at the same time or they end up falling into the subconscious of one of the dreamers. Everyone who goes into the dream has a real life artifact that only they know the weight, balance and feel of so they can determine if they're awake or dreaming. All that is very clearly explained in the opening act of the film. There are two basic story arcs driving the film: Dicaprio's Character's quest to reunite with his children and the job he takes on to make that possible. What unites these two arcs is the concept of "inception", basically planting an idea in someone's subconscious by pulling them into a dream world created by an "architect" (Ellen Page's character) and simulating experiences that will influence their thoughts and actions when they're awake. At the beginning of the movie most of those experienced in invading people's dreams don't believe inception is possible. They think you can only steal secrets. Leonardo DiCaprio's character knows it is possible but he won't tell anyone how he knows. We find out as the movie progresses and this becomes the basis for the movie's mysterious ending. So I really don't get the confusion. They go to great pains in the movie to reiterate each level of the dream over and over again and show how time is moving at different rates at each level and how the kicks are coming into place. If you want confusing go watch Donnie Darko 3 times and see if you can figure out what the hell is going on. The story is solid. It just requires that you pay attention in the opening act. And the action sequences are absolutely spectacular. How do you simulate falling in zero gravity from inside a hotel? What a mind blowing action sequence. If it was an Imax movie you'd be puking your guts out by the end of it. And the cinematography was equally breathtaking. The film has such a grand scope to it and it is by far the most original blockbuster film of the summer. There's no way this should be anything but BETTER THAN SEX!

Better than sex. I can watch The Dark Knight over and over without getting bored. Same with this movie. I fucking loved every minute of it. One of my all-time favorites. And people, don't say that this movie is confusing. It isn't really, until the very last reel with the final layer of the dream. You just have to, you know, stay awake and look at the screen and use your modicum of brain cells to follow the plot and enjoy the movie; something Korey and Leon might've had trouble with, I'm sure. I have to mention that the score for this, by Hans Zimmer, was also incredible. He's now my favorite composer in Hollywood. Mission Impossible, Hannibal, The Ring, Pirates of the Caribbean, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Sherlock Holmes, the Batman reboot... is there nothing this man can't do? Anyway, I have no complaints about the length, or the lack of character development with everyone besides DiCaprio's character. Can't complain about both of them at the same time. anyway; if they added arcs for all the characters, it would've been a five hour movie. Which, again, would've drawn no complaints from me. I just don't care about movie length, as long as it's interesting all the way through (which this movie is). But Leon, being Leon, probably would've had some more bitching to do on that subject.

I loved this movie. My girlfriend said it was just confusing but if you really followed it, it was excellent. Three different action sequences based on the level of the dream experience they were involved in, each operating at a faster time sequence than the next. I won't put the spoiler in but remember how they had to choose an artifact to let them know if they were still in the dream state or reality.. really helped in the end. Better than sex!!

@TSweet7 - It's worth seeing this a second time. I actually enjoyed it more second time as I picked up details I missed first time, and answered some queries I had hadn't quite sorted first time round.

I think because I only saw the teaser trailer a few times and maybe the second trailer once, I came in completely cold. Hence I was blown completely and totally away. Heck, I'm not even sure if I totally understand what the heck is going on. Regardless, I loved it! It was too long, but I've come to expect that this from Nolan.

Met most of my expectations, but it didn't blow my mind. Still a Full Price though! Going to see it again soon.

One of the best movies i have ever seen. Finally an original idea with barley any cliches. Now I don't mind that the spill crew didn't enjoy it as much as me. It's there own opinion. So i hope people will stop bitching to them.

This was Better Than Sex for Me. Especially in a year that has been as lack luster as this has been. Hoping for more like this in the near future.

I really enjoyed this film. It was thoughtful and clever. Afterward it left me thinking, unlike some other films I've seen. Chris Nolan really did it again. I recently did a review of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV1Sp5Rcgog

I wasn't terribly impressed. It would be a decent matinee for sure, but I would have liked to have seen more character development for having sat so long. The idea behind it all isn't a new one, but the directing, acting, and cinematography were very good. The ending bothered me because leaving it open to interpretation like that made my brain hyperfocus on all of the 'blips' in the beginning rather than it all being a pleasant blur of a good movie.

This is probably my problem and not the film's but I was just too pumped with Christopher Nolan and Batman. I was going in expecting something that will entertain me as much as Begins and TDK did and because of that...well I guess I was just expecting more. Good movie but it wasn't really Full Price for me.
