Wow. I can't believe how harsh you're being with this movie. I loved the hell out of this film. I'm so glad I saw this in a theatre, because it was an amazing experience for me. Plus, the actors (John Goodman in particular) actually look like their characters! I think this film is Better Than Sex!

This is a FULL PRICE film. Thank god when I saw it at the IMAX it was not in 3D or else my eyes would fuckin hurt. You got to get the game on the PS2, it's too much fun. Yet again, this was too long for a kids movie.

I really, really liked this movie. It's... to me, amazing. I saw it three times in the theatre and well, can't wait to buy it on DVD. I agree with Cyrus, Racer X stood out a lot, at least to me.

i considered seeing this movie but after seeing iron man and then hearing that this movie was about 2 hours long, i was out. i knew that there were going to be too many flat spots and it was going to just drive me crazy. so i'm glad i didn't see it but i will rent the bluray tho.

I loved this movie, seen it 5 times and I'm still looking for theatres that are still running it! Maybe it was a bit long but it's so fun to watch, great story, loved how they stayed true to the original show!

Maybe it's my fault for not completely watching this movie because during the first racing scene at the beginning I got completely bored and went to my computer( I was watching this bootleg at my house) and started looking at porn. After I got done masturbating I went back to watch this movie and then some point around when those ninjas snuck into speeds house and his dad beat them up I fell asleep right in my chair. When I woke up my friend was watching the news and I asked him how the movie was and he was just like "it was ok". But if a movie is that boring, that it makes me want to masturbate and fall asleep then that is a very low rental. Now if you don't mind I'm going to go look at more porn.

I liked this one actually. I agree that it drags like a mofo. For sure, the first half kind of sucked my balls, but the last half was awesome. I'm only speculating here, but I think that was on purpose. I felt like even the animation was crappier in the first half and it just got gradually better. Not that I think that was the right approach or anything but I noticed it was meant to crescendo. I get the sense that the watchowski bothers/sisters learned a lesson from the matrix trilogy, and attempted to somehow not make the same mistake, but they went to the other extreme. But all in all, it was damned entertaining. The last half was def the bomb. Susan Soreanus did a great job, as did the main dude, I don't know his name. Mathew fox was also really good. Ricci, was kind of whatever. Kind of assexual and weird. If anything she really nailed the old japanamation type style of acting. I mean nailed it. But I don't know if that's a good thing. By the way, did anybody else notice that John Goodman has a totally huge set of bitch tits?

Within the dome you can do anything. There's a table with consessions of to the right, with an old 50's soda fountain right in the middle of the (dance) floor.

Back again and I shelled out another 13 bucks and some change to see it in I-MAX. This time, though I was not at all sober and OHMYGOD, I loved it even more the second time. I had quit smoking pot a few years back and I hadn't done LSD ever. But then Me and a good friend got our "stimulus checks" and decided to blow it all on brainless fun for a change. I've been enough of a tight ass for too long now. We planned the whole thing out, took 4 days off work, got the goods, dropped and went to the show. I'm a changed person. :)

Speed Racer is a movie that impacts you from the very first minute. A film that is full of action and adventure, very good twists, a little of romance and some very good moments of humor. With amazing CGI and spectacular special effects, Speed Racer only purpose is to entertain the crowd. The adaptation from the cartoon to the movie although it wasn't fully developed in my opinion, it is convincing enough. The cast is conformed by all-star actors. Emile Hirsch is very good as Speed Racer, he delivers a convincing performance. Christina Ricci in her first Blockbuster movie since I don't remember when in the role of Trixie made a very good acting job. John Goodman and Susan Sarandon as Speed Racer's parents are excellent as well as Matthew Fox but the one who steals the movie with their humor is the little kid Paulie Litt and his chimpanzee. In conclusion, Speed Racer is the typical movie that sacrifices the story for spectacular effect and I think that it is why this movie is enjoyable and entertaining.

I thought this movie was totally fantastic! It was a really fast pace action movie which I agree...some spots could of been cut out... It really was a worth it full price but mattinee is attractive... I personally hope there is a sequel to the movie to reveal the real Rex to the family and to show the truth in every respect. I agree that "Cheaters never WIN" Also, to confess your lies. It had a good wholesome theme, but it took a long time to get to the end... Wow, the computer graphics was totally out of this world and I hope to see more of this heightened level of thrill... I was on the edge of my seat either in tears or laughing out loud and wanting to cheer when the criminals were exposed. We truly cannot make it in this world unless we hold true to our family values and remain truthful at all times regardless of the opposition against the truth. Great actors and yes, it was probably filmed with more Europeans than American speaking... I did like the inclusion of the multicultural aspects to show equal privilege in a race. I would like to comment from their speed racer website as well if someone has it with their email address.... Stev

This is much better than people are letting on. The flashbacks move the story forward. I think alot of people liked this more than they are letting on. The car-fu was something original. i applaud the W brothers for taking a risk here. I do have 2 problems though. 1 Does Joihn goodman have a glass eye and 2 .
