My God... this was terrible. I wasn't a fan of the original, but this one was... yikes. I would give it a low Rental but the really bad attempt at humor makes me give this one a rating of Some Ole Bullsh**! Pros: Special effects were pretty good. Cons: Everything else.

This wasn't nearly as good as the first Transformers. It was a special effects extravaganza with almost no plot or character development at all. It was also way too long with many unneccessary scences. Still, the action scenes were spectacular, and it was pretty funny. Despite the movie being 2 and a half hours long, I was rarely bored. I'll give this a low Matinee, but hopefully in the next movie, Michael Bay doesn't try to overdo himself and that he keeps the next movie shorter and more simplistic.

Low Rental. I cannot tell what the movie wants to be at all, like Corey. There's a AVP sense with the rescue of Megatron, the Fallen feels like the Emperor from Star Wars, the humor was...umm...no. There's even a horror type jab when Megatron tries to dissect or squish Shia Lebouf, which was just stupid. The old robot guy was just random as all hell. Terminator reference? No. I think the worst blow at me was that the whole "Oh no! Megatron just killed Optimus! You must go and restore his powa!!" thing really gave me the want to get out. So cliche... I'd say the best part was the animation where the huge robot destroyer thing gets hit by the railgun. Other than that, it's a huge cheese fest.

One funny thing that I found is that some of my friends hated the movie and most of my other friends really loved it. I didn't care for it so I would give is a high RENTAL or an ounce of a MATINEE. I originally gave in a SOME OL' BULLSHIT when I first saw it and ran out of the theater like the screen was exploding, and because the movie was full of explosions it might have been exploding. The reason I changed my rating was because I was first thinking all of the bad moments and then I focused on the cool and good moments, but overall it's not that great of a film. I also heard that when the film was in IMAX theaters, it's actually ten minutes shorter then the one released in regular theaters and features more footage of robots fighting.

I can't decide between a high rental or a low matinee. The humor was atrocious at best, and the love story was ridiculous, but for a film having to do with robots fighting robots, it was entertaining enough. It seems like they were answering to some of the complaints people gave about the first one; unfortunately, I think they overdid fixing what needed fixing. For example, people complained about the lack of robots; the first film had seven or eight robots. So, they tried to fix that by adding in what I read was over forty robots! Unfortunately, that included the god-awful twins, who were obviously added in just for shits and giggles. They also tried to add in more of a story, but it wasn't very interesting and just made me want more action. But even so, they gave us a ton of action, and it's very well-constructed and as well-shot as it was going to get. While the new characters sucked ass, it was nice to see the old characters on the big screen again. Some would say it's too loud or too long, but I say the first one is only seven minutes shorter and not any quieter.

Seriously, this movie was a piece of... Ugh, no, lets start over. This movie was decently entertaining for your average 'ooo shiny military hardware and explosions!', or drug addict crowd (I can definitely see people that're high as a kite loving this movie). For everyone else that wants to get more out of the 9 bucks they paid for a ticket...It's gargabe. They'd have done a better job of creating a kickass movie if they handed the script and direction over to a pair of ten-year-olds fresh off a sugar binge, and viewing of the original 1980's Transformers Movie.

I would give this a Full Price because of the people in the theater i was in they were reacting to everything in the movie when Optimus Prime died every was so sad and when he came back and when Bumble Bee was kicking ass they were cheering but i saw it again online and it was crap and very disappointing.

This movie was fun to see at imax theater where they filmed part of the movie, but it was too long and just not that good, the effects were ok but nothing special, and the story was weak. This is the movie that you will see sold in yard sales around the country.

So i was watching this on Youtube since someone had posted the whole thing on there. Just to be clear i hated the first movie, so i was watching this to fuel my rage :P. Anyway, about 15-20mins in soundwave appears, now i have no problem with him being a satellite thats fine as a cassette player that turns into one of the biggest Decepticons there is doesn't make a ton of sense. But the one thing that makes Soundwave most distinctive is his voice and did Bay get that right? did he f**k he made Soundwave sound like the singer from Cannibal Corpse. I had to stop it right then it was too painfully to continue...oh i should mention that every second of the film up until that point was hell on earth haha.
