the books were okay. i don't really feel anything about the book except wanting to know what the hell happened.maybe because i'm not into romance or whatever. the main thing was that the movie is probably one of the worst vampire or romance film ever! it sucks and i felt like puking every single second. and i don't think that Robert Pattinson is the sexiest man alive. He did great as Cedric (love the dying scene :D). a vampire? *barfs* ** Rosalie was suppose to be the PRETTIEST. i see that she isn't in the movie. Jasper's eyes were like popping out and omg that seriously creeped me out. the rest? no comment whatsoever. and now hearing about the whole >TWILIGHT ANIME thing... i'd gouge my eyes out if i have to see it.

Mace in the face! Ya Ya Oueee!!! Haha! I red boxed this one just to see what the fuss was about. Oh it's about vampires? I might give it a chance right? Vampire highschool drama bs! The vampires should never have to explain what they can do! I'm not in love with these vampires. What a pile of crap! If you love vampires and that Halloween feel go rent Interview With The Vampire because this was painful to sit through.

They f--ked up the vampire. I hate the way they show them as superheros. Vamps are more like enhanced humans. Watch Underworld, Blade, heck even Dracula!!! Twilight is a fail. Of course the coolest pale guy has to be the dark elf prince from Hellboy 2

all you idiots. this movie was freakign amazing. the book was a lot better i wont lie but it was a still a great movie. edward cullen is the sexiest guy alive and hes not a typical hollywood made vampire. hes normal like everyone else except for tht one fact. new moon is gonna be even better then wilight and i cant wait for it to come out. so you people find something better to do with your lives then making fun of a movie. if you dont like it dont bother with it.

Someone lower down on the comment board said this was merely an appeal to estrogen....I'd agree with him, but I think this movie sucked too, and I am a teen-age girl obsessed with vampires. But real vampires, like Interview with a Vampire, Underworld, Blade kind of vampires; butt-kicking, bloodlusting, sexy vampires. This crap was barely tolerable as a book, let alone a movie. I used to be a fan of the series, couldn't get enough of it(although I was more of a Jacob fan, he didn't TAKE THE ENGINE OUT OF BELLA'S CAR TO STOP HER FROM LEAVING THE HOUSE... god Edward's a jerk...) until the 4th book, which killed it for me. It showed me exactly what kind of people read these books and watch these movies; overly hormonal teen-agers just aching to start having sex. This movie was about as vapid as it's actors, I fail to see the chemestry between anyone except Bella and her father. And Edward sounds like he has Down's Syndrome(no offense to anyone with Down's Syndrome), but Edward is supposed to be a silver-tongued charmer in total control of his surroundings when he isn;t busy reminding himself how much of a loathesome toad he really is. The movie was slow, the special effects were a joke, the rest of the Cullens are more like stage props(which is a shame because what Jasper can do is pretty wicked) than family members and Edward's pathetic one-liner love quotes were about as believable as Bella's love for him. The only reason my boyfriend and I even watched the whole film was to see Bella get her ass kicked in the final battle scene.

I'm female and I'm not really into Romances like that. Actually I can't stand them. I like vampire books like Ann Rice and the Cirque Du Freak series but lately the books I've read are all the same and it gets old really fast. I'm kind of tired of vampire movies too.

This is a good teen movie, but a lousy vampire movie. Although the story is interesting on how vampires arrived as day dwellers that can exist among us, there is too much lacking to make this a great movie, and I usually love movies about vampires. Hardly anyone in the cast looks like they have the strength to act. It becomes really weak. Although I must admit, there is something that is still captivating about the story. A decent time waster. Matinée.

Though I have various reasons for disliking this movie, one of the main things that really caught my attention was the horrible acting. For one thing, Kristen Stewart (Bella), to me, did a horrible job as Bella. The book ‘Twilight’ describes Bella as vulnerable, helpless, ect. Kristen seemed to not only look as if she could take care of herself, but also seemed to have one facial expression throughout the film. The same could be said about Robert Pattinson (Edward). Though, he made an amazing Cedric in ‘Harry Potter 4’, it did not seem that he brought the same effort into ‘Twilight’. Another thing is, consider the vampire lore portrayed in ‘Twilight’, could it be possible to have a black vampire? In the ‘Twilight’ world, vampires are supposed to have pale, olive-toned skin, now considering that statement, could that color of skin be used for an African-American Vampire? I also believe that the directing of the film seemed to have been not as well as I would have hoped. Though, I’m not that big of a Twilighter myself, I respect well directed films, and this movie didn’t seem as if the directing was done to the best of Catherine Hardwicke’s Abilities.

This movie was an EPIC FAIL. I mean, there were just sooo many problems, just so many. And I have read the book, which I didn't particularly enjoy either. Now all of you Twilight fans are gonna say ", you don't understand Twilight, that's why you don't like it." Yes, I do understand Twilight. Many people fail to realize that you can understand something and still disagree with it. I went to this movie with a group of friends who are avid fans of the series.Let me just say that even THEY thought it was a shitty movie. The acting was, at best passable, and at some points, I could detect Rob Pattinson's accent. That's not a good thing. Bella is even more emo in the movie than she is in the book, and Edward is even more of a pansie.OHHH , and in the book, Edward is hot and Bella smells nice, that's like their only attraction towards eachother. So in the movie it's even less believable that they fall in love in 4 weeks. Another problem were the scenes when they looked into eachother's eyes. GAAH! That was completely stupid. And the last bit, the special effects in this movie were some of the shittiest I've EVER seen. When he sparkles, he looks like a gay disco ball that's sweating, and when he's either running or climbing the tree, you can telll, YOU CAN TELL, that there's wires holding him! This movie sucks.I give it a - >FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You've gotta be kidding me, how did you people give this movie anything higher than "some ol' bulls$#t"??? The only acting that was passable or believable was the dad, Bella and Edward just stared intently into each other's eyes for the entire movie, hell a comatose person could do that if you open their eyes. Even the story got pushed aside to make room for more eye contact, it seemed like the first 50 minutes of the movie involved Edward being the biggest bitch of a vampire ever, then the last 40 or so minutes finally explained the story.

>Okay. The movie was not that bad, I actually read the book and agree with the previous comment that Bella was a lot stronger in the book. She really was, she seemed a little off kilter in the movie and excpetionally vulnerable. I felt the movie was really rushed to get to the ending. But to be honest this movie was made for the fans of the book, not for the newcomers of the book and the story line. Things were left out because 75% of the audience had already read it and knew the outcome and the story. They did not change many things that strayed away from the book. I will give it to 2.75 stars and look forward to the sequel coming out in November. I will not say the series of books was the best I ever read but, it was an interesting read.

Twilight is a good movie, I do wish the movie was longer, but those are the breaks. And opinions are like assholes everyone has one. All books are better than the movies. I loved this series so much that if Stephanie Meyer kept writing about Bella and Edward I would keep reading them. If you can laugh and cry when reading a book, it can't be that bad can it.

I read the books and the actor that played him is not that good looking and I really hated it that they...made it more glam.I with passion hated the movie and I gave it two stars..Bella is just plain stupid in the movie in the book she was more strong and edward..let's just put it like this..his a dumbass in the movie. The book was way better and I WISH they would be making books into damm movies..half the time it made me feel like my money got stolen....and just wait...when in 2 part of the movie and the book should less focus on bella and edward.all the bad vampires..are HOT OMG...I will go with my PJ'S..again and the bOOK..who's in IOWA..LOL!
