Many people didn't like this but... I agree, BETTER THAN SEX!! This was like a cross between The Blair Witch Project and Godzilla... only better. J.J. knows how to both scare and entertain; not once was I bored during this movie. I loved the hell out of it, and I can watch this over and over again and still love the hell out of it. Definitely Better than Sex, and I can't wait for the next one.

I give this Full Price since I did enjoy the drama and realism of it but I think they should've had more monster scenes, I mean we never actually saw whole Cloverfield for more than 20 seconds or something, and I'd also wanted a couple more scenes of those Cloverfield-parasites, and it should've been abit longer, anyway, great movie!

Okay. First, just let me say this: Cloverfield was AWESOME. But as a horror movie...it didn't really do it for me. It didn't scare me at all, really. But as an action movie, I loved it. Full price!

This was the Three D's in a monster movie... which, i could be wrong its been a while and fuck i forget which director said it, i think it was one of the guys who did King Kong. I think its Dark Dangerous and Distant. The movie was very dark, That monster was very dangerous when it was near the characters you can feel how intense they are knowing its a couple hundred feet away, and distant. i know people complain not seeing it very well, but come on thats what kept you on the EDGE OF YoUR SEAT! you wanted to know! its like Pulp Fictions Brief Case, you don't know whats in it but if you did it would lose its magic.

Wow. Don't know what kind of sex you boys are having, but... "Cloverfield" was much, much better than what I was expecting, and I really liked the way they dealt with Hud recording most ot the film (showing others recording things, etc.). But if this was suppose to be our "American Monster" movie... shouldn't we know what the hell it looks like by the end? Everybody knows what Godzilla looks like, but we never get a full view of this monster (did it have a tail or was that tenticlehitting the bridge?). What we did see looked very interesting, and I wanted more. Good acting and the hand held cam didn't get annoying. Full Price, at best though, because of what Abrams said he was going for.

This film was the best of the year, hands down. If you had to leave the cinema because of shaky cam, thats not the films fault, its coz its YOU get motion sickness. Tough luck. Stop being a little girl.

I am new to this so please, bear with me. I believe that with most movies you can find some redeeming factor with in any movie. Now with that being said...Blair Witch wasn't as crappy as this, let me explain. Blair Witch had I don't know 300,000 dollars for a budget, I'm sure that's not the right amount but lets just say it was for this bit. The movie looked like they put 100,000 dollars in to it and the rest went to there pockets right. Cloverfield SAME THING, only they had more money and some intentional hummer. Plus the Cloverfield actors more than likely went to there acting coaches...a time or two, and the whole movie was predictable. Rental at most.

that rating is fucking bullshit. when i saw that movie i had leave right away.... the stupid cameras made me get motion sickness. at best it deserves a matinee.

If you guys don't change your rating for this I'm afraid I'm gonna have to hold somebody hostage. BTS? Come on, it was a Matinee at best. Sure, it was fun to watch and everything, but it has nowhere near the material of BTS-grade movies. Come on, I'm begging you.

I think this is the highest rating you guys have ever given a movie, am I right? 2 Better than Sexs, and 2 Full Prices.

BTS are you f***ing kidding me? This was a rental, maybe a matinee...sure it's all very realistic but to put it on the same level as The Usual Suspects and Pulp Fiction? Gimme a break.

Horrible. i think i might give this a rental. i mean they did what they wanted great. the shake cam made it real and the perspective. but if your going to make this seem real like they tried. then how does the camera survive.....how does the battery last? how do all the ppl seem like they are so shocked when anything happens. I like the story partly.. But this is no better than sex and not a full price. If this is better than sex, than taken is the best movie ever made on theh planet of earth and will be the best forever

This movie was so bad its not even on the rating system. They tried to make it seem real but everything was so unrealistic that they failed horribly. And Im not even talking about the monster I'm talking about the people and their reactions and decisions etc. The shaky cam was terrible because, Im sorry but theres no way even the stupidest of human specimens would keep that thing on through most of what they had to do. There was absolutely no plot whatsoever and someone please explain to me how a camera memory card survives a nuclear blast. srsly? They were just jealous that Japan had a kick ass monster and America didnt so they tried and failed horribly to make us one. They couldn't even come up with a better idea than Godzilla either. Oh noes a Sea Monster that was woken by, what was it? a fallen satellite or some bs? and Oh. guess where its from? GASP Japan. It wasnt original at all, it wasnt ... FILMED at all there was no good aspect of filmmaking in this ... at. all. I could rant for days about this film. But I will stop now.
