25 Biopics worth Full Price.

Coca-cola

With the release of "The Express" and "Flash of Genius" coming out and getting rather poor reviews from what I was hoping for them to get, I figured that some Biopics that came out years ago that still get Full Price would be nice. I'm not going to put these in any particular order. They cover everything from War World 1 Hero, to Dragracing. There's several that I know people will not be interested in because of the surrounding, but they are worth getting. There's few that you can probably find... Read More »

Michael Cera Wants to "QUIT ACTING!!!"

Well, it looks like it might be the end of Michael Cera. WoW, that was fast. The young 20-year-old canuck is complaining, and might call it quits right after 9 years of his career. I just received my latest issue of EW (Entertainment Weekly), and has said why he wants to quit acting. The Ontario native insists that he's taking the rest of the year off, and that he'll be thinking long and hard about wether he should put the breaks on his career. He made his start as a professional actor at 9 ... Read More »

Jason Statham's career started as an Olympic Diver for the British diving team. He finished 12th. He moved on to be a fashion model, and then got caught up with Guy Ritchie and got his big break in "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". Some people consider his role of Bacon in Lock Stock, one of his best roles. But does it make the cut for his best roles of all time? Lets see! Frank Martin - The Transporter Series - Frank Martin is a character with an unrevealed, very typical action hero past... Read More »

BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER*: Review

Christopher Bell examines the steroid use of his two brothers and if it is morally right to use the supplements at all. As young kids, the Bell brothers idolized Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hulk Hogan, and Sylvester Stallone. They embodied everything the Bell's aspired to be. See, the Bell's don't have great genes (according to Chris Bell), their mother and father are a little on the heavy side and in return they were over weight as well. Obviously after watching Commando, Rambo and Thunder Lips k... Read More »

This is my favourite time of the year (yes even more so than Christmas) and this is the month of horror. I thought to put together a list of scary movies to watch on Halloween. Some may disagree with my list, but most will probably generally agree. This is my top 20 horror and top 5 horror/comedy movies to watch on Halloween. 20. Pitch Black: My favourite Vin Diesel film (not to say I'm a fan of his). This movie had a interesting mood to it. Also the creatures were well designed. 19. Ar... Read More »

The Happening DVD review! (if you don't check out this post you will die in seven days!)

How many ways can I say brilliant? M. Knight does it again! After his smash hit with lady in the water I didn't think he could pull off another PERFECT film such as this one! This movie is about some sort of occurrence in which people stop dead in their tracks and start spouting beautifully artistic soliloquies before taking their own life, all against their will a horrifying twist to this movie. The film begins with one of these elegantly crafted sequences followed by a short educational scene,... Read More »

When I was first handed a copy of this movie to watch, naturally I checked out the trailer to see what I was in for. Two and a half minutes later, I find myself with a huge lump in my throat, ready to cry, thinking to myself, “Holy crap, this is going to be rough to watch.” And it was, but after it was over, I was really glad I sat through it. SYNOPSIS Body of War chronicles Tomas Young, a 25-year-old Iraqi War veteran who was shot and paralyzed from the chest down five days after he was dep... Read More »

My Top 5 Favorite Musicals

My Top 5 Favorite Musicals In my mind, there is no middle ground when it comes to musicals; either I love them or I hate them. So, what makes a good musical? Well, I’ve got some personal preferences… 1. The success of the musical should NOT be only due to the music; characters and plot to augment the songs seal the deal. 2. Give our characters a REASON to sing. Random outbursts of song are jarring and can be disruptive to the flow of the film. 3. The songs MUST have a point, whether it supplie... Read More »

Movies I liked...(Part 1)

This list is not littered by movies that many have seen. Or by a lot of blockbusters, because most of them are trash. But anyone who loves comedy, suspense or drama movies should check out some if not all on this list... Clifford Available on DVD This movie came out in the early 90's back when Charles Grodin had a ton of work. Out of all his movies this one had me in stitches. It's about Martin Short playing a young child named Clifford, who will do anything to get what he wants. His own par... Read More »

Movies I almost ended my life over... (Part 1).

This is a list of movies that have come of very recently and in the past that I have not only hated, but during which made me think. How would it feel to have a warm piece of steel in my skull? Feel free to disagree with me, or maybe even agree with me. But I have watched a ton of movies (hell I am watching one now) and so I feel I have maybe a very small right to rip these movies apart. This list will start with some very recent releases and go back... Eagle Eye For starters, I knew this mo... Read More »

Battle of the Leos: Billy Costigan (The Departed) vs. Amsterdam Vallon (Gangs of New York

As we all know, Leonardo DiCaprio is a pretty fantastic actor. Having been nominated for three Oscars and five Golden Globes (two nominations in the same year for Blood Diamond and The Departed) and winning more than a dozen other awards (including the Hollywood Film Festival’s Actor of the Year), this guy has done more than prove his talent. My prediction is Body of Lies will take the top spot for the weekend, or at least the second spot, because people love this man. The ladies want him and t... Read More »
