this movie is such a stupid idea, kids don't want to see a film about suing someone they won't even get what any of this means "what's a "bloodsucking bottomdweller mommy?" "what is sue?" what is so funny? what doesWASP mean?" this stuff is adult no kid would be sure of any of the jokes lawyer jokes don't belong in a kid's movie none of these jokes make sense either the girl isn't allergic to bee stings her husband is so that suicide joke is dumb and suicide itself is not a good subject

We left half-way through. It's animated and that's all that attracts children. No action, no fun and the way the bee's look really bugged me - no probiscus. Having paid I may have stuck it out but my daughter went from "I'm bored" to the 200 decibel version after about 40 minutes. and having no more popcorn over for her to spill, departed without caring what happened in court.

Are me and my wife the last 2 Americans who find the entire Seinfeld crew (including Larry David) annoying in excess of any entertainment value they add? Okay, I'll except Jason Alexander from that list. But really, Jerry Seinfeld on the credits is an absolute SOBS for this bartender

His comedy was never funny. Jerry is about as funny as watching a fat man in a speedo.

Korey I wasnt saying that you were complaining in your review infact you brought up some interesting points, I was referencing people complaining in the posts but maybe I should have been more clear. All im saying is that these movies are predominantly aimed at children but have adult jokes that are put in to allow the whole family to enjoy it to an extent but if these jokes dont sit right dont get to upset just remember who the movie is really for. I suppose it may not be a great idea to take kids to the movies as theyll probably crack up at anything in the film and give Full Price to the commercials before the movie :)

What's up, Chilly? Good heearing from as always. Alright, let me explain a few thinngs. First of all, we're not complaining. We didn't go on some five minute rant about how we hate CG kid's movies. We review movies, based on our own opinons, which means we point out where we feel the movie succeeded and where it didn't. Sometimes our critiques might not agree with you, and that's great. However, that doesn't qualify our review as a complaint Second, we've been reviewing movies years before Spill, which means many people haven't seen the TONS of kids movies we've seen in the past - and enloyed. I can't tell you how many Saturday mornings Leon and I have spent at screenings for kids movies. I alone can remember recommending several movies to people that I felt were perfect for children. Doug, Jimmy Neutron, a couple of the Pokemon movies, Spongebob Squarepants, the Winnie the Pooh Huffalump movie. Leon and I were even made fun of for enjoying Veggie Tales the Movie. Those are just a few I can remember. I have no problem recommending movies for kids. That brings me to my third point. Kids aren't always the best judge of movies, even movies directed towards them. There are millions of dollars made every year off of crappy children's DVDs that parents buy. Why? Because parents pop them in and kids will sit and watch them. As a kid myself that grew up on, and loved, thirty commercials disguised as shows like The Transformers and G. I. Joe I know this is true. So no, we're not taking kids to screenings because it's not always a good meter. No offense to kids, of course. Fourth, as far as Bee Movie goes, this is not some small kids movie. DREAMWORKS HAS PROMOTED THE SHIT OUT OF TIS MOVIE! And not solely in children's outlets. Computer commercials, primetime advertising spots, Jerry Seindfeld taking over an episode of 30 Rock - an adult oreinted show! Dreamworks definitely is aiming this towards adults as well as kids based on Jerry Seinfeld's celebrity. So no, we're not going to judge this as some simple kids film because it had hopes of being more sophisticated. And fifth, Over the Hedge was one of our favorite movies from last year. A CG animated family film. Crazy, huh?

I saw the Oprah episode where she had Jerry on to promote the show - found out Oprah's the voice of the judge, LOL. Anyhoo, good to hear your review, can wait for rental, sorry it's not living up to its hype.

We LOVE animated movies here at spill. Love them. Many of the ones the fall into my own personal faves list are intended entirely for small children...>My Neighbor Totoro comes to mind. While it's impossible to review movies for kids (god knows I liked some pretty awful crap when I was a kid) we can review the movie for the many adults who like animated films as well. I think Pixar proved that you can make animated films that are enjoyable for both adults and children. If you're creating a huge marketing blitz with a multi-million dollar CG animated film from a big studio like Dreamworks, I'm expecting something that's gonna cross the age barrier a bit. It's not that they didn't try, they just failed.

Well said chilly. I was thinking the same thing. they are under no obligation to make it emjoyable for adults. maybe when the crew reviews a kids movie they should take a kid along. A niece, nephew, or cousin. Then get teir take on it.

Why do adult people always get pissed when theres another CGI movie aimed at kids, ive never heard a child getting pissed of because they make another adult movie and anyway alot of them are really good like Finding Nemo, Shrek, Monsters ink, Toy Story etc, just STOP complaining theyre for the kids!

Oh man! shit! another animated movie for kids, you know i get so pissed off because I never get to see animated movies in their original language, they always play it in Spanish on the movie theaters so the kids can understand them, oh well, i guess i just gonna have to go watch it and then rent it anyways.
