I was pretty disappointed too though. The first part is mostly about showing how deserted everything is and how his life is. I saw the 28-series before I saw this one and started to like those. I really like the sensation of a anti-utopia and the looks of it... but not that I want to be confronted with it for an hour. Seeing this one after 28 wasnt such a good idea I guess.

I liked it! I thought that the first three quarters on the film are great. It loses steam in the last quarter though. And I found the female character they introduced later on really, really annoying. I was on the edge of my seat hoping that she would be involved in some sort of painful, slow death.

Aside from the cartoony-looking infected, the movie was cool up until the end. He had just found that woman and her kid, and all of a sudden, the ending is here. And, then, the ending itself just felt too small-scale for a fate-of-the world type movie. SPOILER ALERT! It would have been nice if they had actually left New York for Alaska to look for survivors, and then had the movie end in some climactic battle there instead, but it didn't. Instead, it ended in his basement. WTF? Okay movie otherwise.

This movie should've been called "I Am Sad" because that's how I felt after watching this movie. Will Smith was absolutely heart breaking in this and I don't think they could've a gotten a better actor to play Robert Neville. Even though he did act a little Fresh Princey at some points, you realize that it's just his acting style and that is he portrayed how Robert Neville would act at that certain time. Maybe I'm wrong. All I know is that Will Smith could drop a big steamin' pile of "Fresh" shit and I'd gladly slobber it up with a big smile on my face and ask him for seconds.

If dogs could win Oscars....he was the only real star. Will Smith gave a predictable performance but inconsistent and not terribly credible considering his circumstances. It's hard to take him seriously as he has indeed been typecast. Very disappointing ending.

i kinda ruined this film for myself because i was soooo excited i kept looking it up, and then when i saw it i saw there was nothing more to it than what i already knew. Damn spoilers...spoiling everything! lol A coupel of day's ago i was watching the History Channel Special "Life After People (or Humans, same thing!)" and saw that I Am Legend was pretty much down pat on what the world would look like a year after people. Trust me the world aint gonna stop livin' just cause we aint here no more. :D

It was ok.. But the ending was kind of unexpected, and not at all what I would have suspected. The scene and the surroundings in the film were very well thoguht of, but I thoguht that the story wasn't getting to the point of where I would love it at all.. It had just been a descent movie with good casting

This is a pretty good movie, not at all like the book though. I love the scary parts in the movie and the fact most of the movie has no music in the background. I screamed so loud at some points, I liked the movie over, but i didnt like the ending.
