Was skeptical about seeing this film because I heard from many people it was boring. After you get through the very slow beginning, you get a very solid movie. I preferred this one over No Country For Old Men. Carlyle is right, it's not for anyone. You really have to have an open mind, and love movies to appreciate this one. I was ready to criticize it like crazy. Only criticism is that some scenes could have been trimmed down a bit, otherwise amazing movie. Daniel Day Lewis was amazing.

Great movie, probably best of the year. But, the best line from this movie was "I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE! I DRINK IT UP! SLUUUUUUUUUUUURP!" Except for the last 1 minute, there was no blood in the movie, I was just sitting there thinking "You know, there could be better titles for this movie, like 'There Will Be Oil' or 'There will be Daniel Day-Lewis'."

LOVED this....I don't know how much I would've if DDL was not there. The music is very fitting....I was addicted to the scenery (scenery freak). Every shot felt like a painting...A lot of people compared it to Citizen Kane....I dont think I will till I see Citizen Kane again.
