this movie was garbage, the "hero" of the movie was a complete creep, what the fuck is up with a vampire that doesn't burn with the sunlight? but his skin turns glittery instead, i love Kristen Stewart but this movie was fucking horrible, i was laughing through the whole thing, so full of cliches and HORRID dialogue, and when has a cute girl fallen inlove with a guy that follows her around, stalks her and tells her "i come into your room at night because i like to watch you sleep", specially when they say that they cant be without each other, after knowing each other for what, a month? GARBAGEEEEEEE. Ive been getting the whole "oh you dont understand because you havent read the book" bullshit from fans, and no, it has nothing to do with the book, the movie is shit

this movie was bullshit! my cousins dragged me to it and it was the most cliche riddled crap fest i've ever seen. The cinematography was good at moments, but that was all that kept me from walking out.

i just saw it yesterday and i thought it wasn't terrible but it definatly was for hardcore twillight fans and girls that love the main vampire character. and there deffinatly will a second one so im kinda intrested to see it because of the way they ended but i do suggest for people to see cuz im not the book fan but i still thought it was a pretty good movie.

That girl was HOT and fans may/may not love it, but overall I was kinda bored. I know vampires are like the sexiest of all monsters and all, but hey couldn't have batlike looks in the sunlight? Instead they have diamonds? This looked more like Jumper. But overall I suppose it was an okay movie. I just like horror films personally though. Plus I only saw this with my sister instead of taking a hot girl.

Ugghh, is this craze over yet? I'm a chick, and I hate this movie, >and its fandom with the passion of 1000 suns. It's so ridiculous. I can't believe they made a major motion picture out of what amounts to nothing more than a glorified fanfiction. Go read a real book.

If all the hardcore Twilight fangirls disappeared off the face of the planet, I would be the happiest girl in the world. I'm ready for this bullshit fanfic to die now, thanks.

I like vampire movies, books, games, etc. So feel free to discredit my opinion if you think that coming from this perspective, I cannot argue my point without bias. I beg that you don't, though. I listened to the discussion between Korey and Carlyle, and while I respect Korey's perspective on the matter, I have to agree with Carlye, and here's why: as far as I'm concerned, it did not deliver on what the promotion promised. Here is how I've interpreted Carlyle (and please correct me if I'm wrong) regarding the Twilight and the creatures it refers to as 'vampires'. The movie was promoted as two things, one of which being a teen romance movie, and the other, a vampire flick. In the first case, no one denies it succeeds, though 'romance' could be replaced by 'stalking', it is obvious to anyone there that we're supposed to believe that Bella and Edward are made for each other (i.e. they're both starving for the attention that only the other can provide). As for the second thing, of this being a vampire flick, I agree that this does not provide essential elements necesary for it to qualify as such. I won't say that the lore is 'wrong' or that, because the vampires here are drastically different than the common literary or movie/TV versions, but because, with the exception of the last 20 or so minutes of the movie, the fact that there were even vampires in the movie was irrelevant. Edward and his family might as well just been albino snobby rich kids who didn't want to hang out with the commoners. There was nothing about them that said "supernatural" beyond the pasty white skin (and craptacular FX super speed, and even that was sparingly used) It felt like the vampire element felt tacked on, as if the writer wanted to try and differentiate her work from the thousands of other teen romance novels out there by adding the 'supernatural' element. For a movie to be of a certain genre, the elements that qualify it for that genre must be key to the movie's story. For example, even if you took the "dream monster" out of Freddy Kreuger, "A Nightmare on Elm Street" could still be about a serial killer who kills the children while they slept, just without the lifting peopel onto the ceiing and whatnot. Jason Voorhees is a better example. If you took his seeming immortality away, he's still a serial killer who kills whoever comes into the Crystal Lake area, trying to avenge his own attempted murder and the murder of his mother (who in the first movie, was seeking revenge for her son's apparent death due to the neglect of Camp Crystal Lake's camp counselors. They'd still be horror movies without those elements, but not Twilight. It'd be a sappy, uninteresting, cliche'd teen angst romance movie based on a sappy, uninteresting, cliche'd teen angst romance novel. At least, that is my take on it. Sorry for the rant, but this is one vampire movie lover who was sorely disappointed by having seen this movie.

Doesn't say much for a movie when the video review is Better than the movie itself! If you didn't like Twilight, you will hate Full Moon with a vengence! Hundreds and hundreds of pages of Bella's Teen Angst!!!!! It put me off the series...I thought Twilight was good in that it showed a fresh perspective on vampires....*don't hit me please Carlyle!!!!* It's good to shake up the norm once in awhile and for teenie bopper girls it works fine and the women who were teenie bopper girls once like me...but I won't see the movie. Sorry Korey, you're not catching me at the theatre in my sexy black lace negliee...dream on sucker!!!!! HA!!!!!!

Well Twilight is a very bland book series in itself. The only reason there are so many fangirls is because 'Edward Cullen/Jacob/whoever the hell else is sooooo sexy!!!111" which doesn't help the fact that the text itself is... well, very dull. And vampires don't sparkle. Neither do they have super powers like that I mean wtf. There's always that distinct feeling that Stephenie Myers wants to be Bella, and this is just her own fantasy world. Which of course, is making her distracted of mothering her own children. No really, apparently she'd rather write her own little fanfiction then take care of her children. That's sad. Not to mention, she acted VERY immaturely about the new release, but that's another story. Point is, I don't think that there's much in here and the audience is mostly looking for a cute love story with a hot guy. Like you guys said, it comes off as a trailer for a new WB television series. I for one don't find anything particularly special here, so I'd probably give it a Rental or even Some O' Bullshit, since that basically describes the likelihood of a vampire sparkling. (Not like there's any likelihood that vampires exist, of course.) I will say though that like you said, there were some examples of decent acting, and for the fans, this basically does give them the dosage of what they wanted completely. It's not for my type of audience though, so I guess it's safe that you guys were lenient on the rating. But lol this movie did inspire the season finale of South Park. Which was amazing, btw.
